I still can't completely grasp that I live in the mountains now. I grew up in rural northern Germany. Close to the Baltic Sea with wind around me and always up for a wild swim in our lake region. Nature was always close to me in my childhood although it was not as wild as the endless beaches of New Zealand, the wide arctic tundra in Alaska or the whales on the rainy pacific coast, that I would discover later.
Through my social engagement from early years on I was always fascinated by education and outdoor learning. I studied a full teacher degree for teaching English as second language and Art pedagogy (1.Staatsexamen für Gymnasiallehramt Kunst/Englisch) at Leipzig University. But my focus often lay on the educational projects of the NGO Power On e.V. that I co-founded and outdoor adventures around the world. Experiencing that Outdoor Learning and Art Pedagogy had so much more potential than classical teaching.
Meanwhile I explored new ways of learning and teaching I also started to learn a lot more about Art and my own art practice and developed my love for colors and paper further. I am so exited about diving deeper into my journey as not just and educator and project leader but as a creator and artist.
