linoprint.

The process of printmaking.

design.

My prints are inspired by nature and I design mostly small format landscapes. For that I love to sketch plain air or refer to memories of inspiring journeys. To design especially multi colored prints is a great challenge and brain exercise :).

carve/cut.

The carving is such a mind freeing process: there is just the chisel, the lino and the lines: Being distracted could literally make you pay with blood ;). A little tricky to always have the principles of printmaking in mind to get a hang of reduction printing and multi block printing…

print.

In lack of a press I handprint with a spoon. This is a lengthy procedure which usually takes some really good podcasts to not get bored or annoyed while making lager editions.
