Creative Mountain Adventure
A bilingual, creative Summer Camp in the Italian Dolomites at Rifugio Giaf.
There are a million things in life we have to learn and even more that we have to teach to the children, the next generation, but in times of crisis and change I believe there is nothing better to teach than to enjoy the sound of a story being told at the fire, the skills to cooperate in a group, to solve tasks creatively and to connect oneself to ones intuition and resilience, the nature around us, and all the living beings with whom we share the our places.
A place to learn all these things is for certain not a room filled to the rim with people:
A mountain hut in the Dolomites became a place for Outdoor Learning.
Behind every tree there was a world to discover, challenges to master, mountains to climb, fresh mountain water to drink and clean air to breathe. There was the calm and awe that we felt when we stepped into the forest and the curiosity to learn more about ourselves and the ecosystem we dived in to.
One week, a mountain hut, a great team and 14 kids.
The week was super special. It was my first time teaching and leading a Summer Camp in Italy and the week was a great success. The group of children in the age of 8-12 years was super fun to work with and the experience was super special not just for the kids and their parents but also for uns as a team.
